Charcoal live demonstration by Nidhi Agarwal at Cafe Ambroisie on 6th dec 2015

Nidhi explained the basics of charcoal work and demonstrated the technique of using charcoal to create good art work.

Nidhi explained various types of charcoal tools like
> charcoal pencil
> charcoal stick
> charcoal powder


Charcoal pencil , stick and powder can be used in different combinations to create a great piece of art.
Pencil is used for sketching and detailing, stick is used to create patterns or for shading and powder is used to give darker/lighter shades .

Trees and flowers are Nidhi's favourites .

Nidhi demonstrated how to sketch trees within the cafe .Later , we moved outdoors and Nidhi drew a tree from the surrounding area . She used soft pastels to bring color to the work and drew flowers with it.

The audience were eager to try out the new technique . On whole , it was a very unique experience.

Savitha demonstrated how to paint a landscape with water colors. She discussed various concepts
like

> Light and Shade effects - How to manage the effects using darker shades of the color in shadow region and lighter shades in the region where there is light
>Reflection :- How reflection is formed in still water , water with ripples , shallow and deep water
>Perspective :- How to manage the distance of the objects with detailing

She demonstrated how to use water colors on hand made paper to include how to layer paints and concepts of water colors .

The history of portraits is more than 26,000 years old . Portraits basically are the perfect representations of an individual that includes anatomy, facial expressions, body language , mood of the person etc. Do you agree that God's best landscape has been the human face? Each face is so very different from the other.

One could see portraits of most kings & queens in galleries. Most of us fantasize  having our own portrait made !!!!

Mastering the art of making portraits requires dedicated practice of many years and highly polished skills. 

Amit Srivastava among his many other skills has mastered the art of capturing the portraits. His work will be on display and sale at Cafe Ambroisie , Koramangala 5th block , Bangalore from 16th oct 2015 to 29th oct 2015.

Solo Art Exhibition by PriyaRanjan Behera at Cafe Ambroisie , Koramangala Bangalore

Cafe Ambroisie proudly presents a solo art exhibition by PriyaRanjan Behera, a qualified artist (MFA from Mysore University) from the 2nd oct 2015 to 15th Oct 2015. He is currently employed as Asst. Prof at the school of Architecture, Bangalore.

He has exhibited his works at many galleries from 1997 onwards. He has also been a part of many events .

His recent demo at Mangala Kalyana Mantap , Bangalore was amazing in which he painted a Ganesha within minutes. A song was played in the background and he finished the painting before the song finished.
